Hohlbein Continues To Find Speed With GLSS
WAYNESFIELD, Ohio (July 27, 2024) On track this past weekend with the Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS), Abby Hohlbein continued to show improvement with a weekend-high top-ten finish.
Landing the 10th place finish at I-96 Speedway on Friday night, the finish came after climbing nine positions.
Posting to her Facebook page, Abby said, "I had an okay night throughout qualifying and the heat race, which put me staring 19th in the feature. I made my way up to a 10th-place finish. My crew had the car set up great, and it was super fun to drive."
Onto Waynesfield Raceway Park the following night, things started strong with Abby taking the green from the tenth starting spot, before getting caught by another car and ending up in the work area. Able to return, she came back to finish 15th.
"Unfortunately, a car thought they needed more track than they had and put me into the wall on lap one, causing a flat left rear tire. Huge thanks to everyone who came to the hot pit to help change the tire and get me back on the track. We didn’t have the best finish, and the nose wing didn’t survive the night, but I did finish the race. Not the results we were looking for, but we will be back and ready to get after it at Eldora this weekend. It’s been so much fun getting used to this car, and I can’t wait to keep learning and improving."
